What made you start this business? I am truly PASSIONATE about my home. I love to decorate and make everything look pretty. I want it to look great and also be functional. I also LOVE to treasure hunt & thrift store find. Looking at a space in a magazine and being able to put that same room together at a fraction of the cost is exciting. Opening a retail outlet has aloud me to share my passion with others who are also passionate about their homes. Supplying people with those one-of-a-kind character piece and those hard to find items at a reasonable price is what I love to do.
Tell us about what you offer? The Passionate Home is all about mixing the new with the old to create happiness and beauty. Our store is filled with treasures and one-of-a-kind items that have been re-claimed and re-purposed into useful, beautiful, unique décor items for you home. Nestled among the accessories and painted furniture you will find hidden gems by local jewellery designers, original artworks, luxurious soaps and lotions as well as vintage flea market finds. We are all about the unexpected and wonderful things in life.
Who are your clients? Everyone and anyone who is passionate about their home.
How do your services or product make a person feel fabulous? Every visit to The Passionate Home is a new experience. We welcome everyone as they are friends coming into our home. We are truly passionate about finding that “perfect something” for each and every person. There is a certain happiness that comes from bringing something new into your space. We feel blessed to be a part of making your house, a home you love.
What’s your wish for those who use your service? Whether visiting the store, having a furniture piece custom painted or having a decorating consultation in your home, my wish is that the customer feel inspired, feel that they have been treated fairly, and that they feel happier because of what we could do for them.
What do you do to feel fabulous? Being happy makes me feel fabulous. Seeing the cup half full, seeing the good in all people and being the change that I would like to see in the world makes me happy. Just being me and not caring what other people are saying. Loving my husband and kids and being grateful for all that I have makes me happy. Living my dream with the support of my family, being over 40 and excited about my life and realizing that perfection is not required, only perfect effort, this makes me feel happy and fabulous.
What color are your bedroom walls? French Grey and I love it!
